Singapore 2010: Day 3 - Wave House @ Sentosa Island

We had dinner at the Wave House and enjoyed watching the process of others learning to surf the waves at the wave simulation pool.

The wave house was like an exclusive dining area as well; with a very relaxing atmosphere in it.

Some of our colleagues were also part of the surf learners!

It was not an easy feat though; it looked really slippery and painful as we watched one after another slip while trying to keep their balance!~

We spent a few good hours relaxing there and finally called it a night after 11pm

Singapore 2010: Day 3 - Sentosa Island's Songs of the Sea

This was the second time I attended the Songs of the Sea performance at the famed Sentosa Island.

Songs of the Sea was the substitute of the Musical Fountain which used to be one of the star attractions in this popular park.

The show starts at 7.30p.m and lasts for approximately 30 minutes

The show starts off with singing and then spins into the story of one of the singers.
There were lots of laser beams and lighting/fireworks effects used in the performance

There were also the fountain effects; and the water spurts everywhere (I had to be careful with my own camera as well!)

Towards the end of the show, it was more of the performance of the fountains!~

It was quite a stunning performance, but I personally still prefer the original Musical Fountain =)
However, perhaps this one was meant to include more entertainment value for all ages and to innovate from the old programme to bring something fresh into the performances at the park? =)

Singapore 2010: The Flyer

I had the opportunity to enjoy a 45-minute ride on the Singapore Flyer after dinner; at a staggering height of 165 metres, an equivalent of a 42-storey building and 30 metres higher than the London Eye.

The flight hours are from 8.30am - 10.30am and the last admission for the flight is at 10.15a.m.

The flyer comprises of several carriages shaped like a space capsule and each of them can accommodate an approximate of 45 pax

With such a huge capacity, it is no wonder that the flyer can hold events and banquets in it.

The flyer takes a slow journey, and allows visitors to enjoy the enchanting and breathtaking view of the historical and iconic landmarks of Singapore; especially the close view of the Marina Bay and Singapore river

Singapore 2010: Dinner @ Seafood Paradise

On the 2nd day, we were treated to a luxurious dinner at the Seafood Paradise, which was located near the Singapore Flyer.

We had a whole bus chartered for our big group of people to bring us to the location.

This restaurant was famed for their fresh seafood selection; especially their Chili crabs which was coincidentally one of Singapore's signature dishes.

The snapper was used in this dish, and it turned out to be quite a good combination in its taste albeit a little bit spicy for me.
