Rialto Bridge is one of the most popular tourist spots in Venice - reason being it is home to a population of souvenirs peddlers who earn a living there.
As for tourists like us, it is a shopping hot spot not to be missed to check out the interesting stuffs there even if you are not buying any.
Branded bags - am not sure whether this are originals?
Silk ties seem to be a popular item here too
Murano glass
These are the handmade/blown-with-pipes glass which is highly sought after.
If you are interested, you can even board a boat heading to Murano island which is slightly off Venice coast and you can see the craftsmen at work and maybe you can even get better stuffs over there!
Too bad our schedule didn't allow us to do that; although we tried:p
I love these chess sets!!!
And orchestra sets; also made of Murano glass
I do so want to own one of them!
Carpentry wood stall
Lace
Magnets
A view of a small canal - these are everywhere in Venice!
Dresses
Toys
And I spotted this interesting sign in a shop
Nice shoes!
Tri-angel dolls (as seen in TVB's drama: Triumph in the Skies)
There was a huge crowd around this shopping zone
Woodwork shop
Paintings
Wine
There are fruit stalls selling those cut fruits in cups in case you want to quench your thirst and hydrate yourself after all that 'walking in the sun'
A Cup is about EUR1.50; which is about MYR 7.50 for one!:p
Talk about expensive fruits!
Or if you are hungry, there are also plenty finger food and snacks to look out for
Sausages
Bratwurst
Pizza
Sandwiches
And watch out for those windows; there are lots of interesting cookies!
For instance, this seem to be a very popular pistachio cookie.
I saw them in almost every shop!
And Gelato!
Didn't I say Gelato came from Italy?:)
There are even Chinese restaurants
A Shot of the bridge and the canal
Gondola
Seagull....
Stay tune for our voted best gelato in Italy post...
